Dear Parents
and Grandparents,
The World Apostolate of Fatima has been working
to establish a two-fold mission. First to establish
that October 7th be celebrated as a World -
wide day of prayer before the Most Blessed Sacrament
for our world’s children, and Second, to help
Establish Eucharistic Adoration throughout our
nation and world. Whereas Catholic school children
on one given day unite their prayers before
Our Eucharistic Lord, for the intentions of
Eucharistic Reparation, the needs of their own
families, for life and for all the children
of the world.
We have chosen the date
October 7th for a couple of reasons; one because
as many of you know it is the “Feast of Our
Lady of the Most Holy Rosary.” This feast day
marks a day of Victory, and at Fatima Our Blessed
Mother titled herself as, “I am Our Lady of
the Rosary.”
Friends, at the World
Apostolate of Fatima, we are Mothers and Fathers,
Grandmothers and Grandfathers, same as you.
We also know first hand the multitude of sufferings
and trials that families are called to endure
in today’s world. The sufferings of these little
ones is the fuel that helps us to continue working
to help establish a World day of prayer before
the Most Blessed Sacrament for our world’s Catholic
school children, Religious Education Children
as well as all of our Home Schooled children.
Pope John Paul II, wrote
a four and a half page letter to the world’s
children at the end of the International year
of the family, titled, “A Christmas Letter to
the World’s Children” in this letter he says,
“Dear Young Friends, it is to your prayers,
that I entrust the problems of your own families
and all the families of the world.” Who would
imagine the family crisis we now find ourselves
in could be remedied by the prayers of our little
ones, and yet Pope John Paul II entrusted the
crisis to them.
Parents and Grandparents,
would you please take a moment to call or drop
a line to your parish school principal asking
him or her if it is possible to bring the school
children before our Eucharistic Lord, on October
7th - to pray the Rosary for families and in
reparation for the indifferences committed against
the Blessed Sacrament, and also to include the
singing of a song, Dana, is composing, from
the lyrics of a child.
We have written to our
nations bishops and every Catholic elementary
school principal in the country as well. The
response has been good, but if mom and dad and
grandma and grandpa think it’s a good idea that
their little ones kneel before our Lord uniting
their prayers with thousands of other children
throughout the world, praying for their own
families, then please let’s work together. It
only takes a few moments and it’s free.
The children usually
go to Mass once a week anyway, let’s just try
to establish October 7th - Feast of Our Lady
of the Rosary as a day to unite the prayers
of children. A million of little faces before
our Eucharistic Lord, would he not grant a grace
to our families that we all long for, PEACE!
It’s the “Year of the
Eucharist” let’s make it a closing celebration
for the World’s Children.
At Fatima, Our Blessed
Mother promised, “In the end my Immaculate Heart
will triumph and the world will enjoy a period
of peace.” Let’s hope it’s soon!
Thank you and May God
reward you!
